Mild Body Green has shared a recipe for a smoothie they say is excellent for promoting mental health and reducing stress. The Chocolate and Cherry Protein Smoothie has six ingredients: frozen cherries, protein powder, organic unsweetened cacao powder, raw nut butter, spinach or mixed greens, and hemp milk.  Optional ingredients include ice cubes, chia or flax seeds, and cinnamon.  The outlet says that cherries, cacao, leafy greens, hemp milk, nut butter, chia, flax, and hemp seeds improve mental health and reduce stress.  Also, cherries contain tryptophan, serotonin, carotenoids, vitamin C, and potassium which help to calm anxiety and improve mood. They add that leafy greens are a great source of vitamin B9.
