Man Calls Cops On Birds
WFLA says a Winter Haven, Florida man recently called the police to report a case of vandalism. He said someone splashed white paint on his black Jeep Cherokee. Deputies quickly arrived and discovered that the white paint was bird poop and that no crime had occurred.
They Facebooked; ”A Winter Haven man was beginning his day, when the day took a sour turn with the discovery that someone had covered his black Jeep Cherokee with white paint. Deputies Socha and Hernandez were on the case. Upon arrival, they began investigating and determined this was not going to be a criminal mischief case. It was mischievous alright—just not criminal. That’s because the deputies found that it wasn’t paint that had been poured on the Jeep, and it wasn’t even caused by a human. The culprit was avian, and the substance—well, the substance was what birds tend to do. Or doo, more accurately.
The deputies probably weren’t able to determine if it came from a feculent flock of birds or just one bird who ate a dozen worms that didn’t agree with him. Our deputies are well-trained in a lot of things, but scatology is not one of them. After explaining to the man what had coated his Jeep, Deputies Socha and Hernandez went above and beyond their normal duty, by cleaning away the bird doody, and showing once again that PCSO deputies take “Pride in Service.”
