Yes, Really… Vibrating Pill Helps People Go To Bathroom
Just when you thought you heard of everything, I read that the FDA has approved a drug-free solution that is designed for daily use to help relieve constipation. Of course there are many products on the market to help with your relief, heck, even prunes are known to help with constipation! But what makes this pill, called Vibrant, different is that it is a new vibrating pill. The vibrations help trigger peristalsis, the wave-like muscle contractions that move food through the gastrointestinal tract, the company said. According to CNN, it’s a first-of-its-kind capsule about the size of a regular pill – but instead of releasing medication after it’s swallowed, it vibrates to stimulate the colon. I was reading about this pill on webmd it seems as easy as taking this pill before bedtime and letting it vibrate for 3 seconds on, 3 seconds off, for about six hours. When you go to the bathroom, you expel the pill.
People are clamoring to get a new vibrating pill that helps them go to the bathroom. The Food and Drug Administration has approved the pill. Doctors started prescribing it earlier in the week. About 2.5 million people see their doctor each year for constipation, which means about 20% of the population has trouble going to the bathroom. The pill costs $69 per month.
