McDonald’s is really pulling a fast one on us now!
According to Daily Dot, they are now charging for paper bags in some places. I can not believe they are charging ten cents for a paper bag. I think we are already shelling out our hard-earned cash for their food, and now they want to nickel and dime us for a bag to carry it in. One disgruntled customer posted, ‘I’m gonna walk out with the tray’.
It’s not just the bags, it seems there are other issues including rising menu prices to shrinking food. I have been noticing how the prices at McDonald’s have been creeping up over the years. Seriously, I feel like every time I go there, I’m shelling out more and more cash for less and less food.
Their Big Mac used to be so big that I used to have to smash the burger and bun to fit it in my mouth. Enough already with them trying to squeeze every last penny out of us!
How McDonald’s is Pinching Our Pennies
Now that I complained about the how the food decreased in size, let’s talk about the food quality. It’s like the food just is no where near what it used to be. I remember when McDonald’s was the go-to spot for a quick and tasty meal, but now not so much. It’s like they ae cutting corners everywhere, from the ingredients to the portion sizes. I remember asking for extra sauce and the sauce would drip down my chin and get between my fingers and drip down my hands. Now, I barely can find the sauce on the Big Mac.
McDonald’s prices have reportedly more than doubled over the last ten years. It seems the consensus is, it’s getting to the point where we are going to think twice before heading to McDonald’s. If they’re going to keep raising prices and skimping on quality, maybe it’s time to take our business elsewhere.
