Woman Suing Grocery Store Because Her Apple Pie Was Really A Cherry Pie
This major supermarket that I shop at has pie on its face. It appears folks working in the bakery can not make any type of mistakes, whether it is with the measurements of the ingredients or the label they throw on the box. I can not help but give my opinion on this scenario. Let us think of this logically, apples in an apple pie are golden in color and cherries in a cherry pie are reddish in color. Wouldn’t it be your first clue that when you see something that looks like a cherry and smells like a cherry, it’s a cherry!
According to the NY Post says an Albany, New York mother is suing a Shoprite grocery store because they mislabeled one of their pies. Tiffany Brady bought a pie labeled “Store Baked Apple Pie”. When she got home, her two-year-old ate a slice of the pie and immediately became ill. Tiffany says the “Store Baked Apple Pie” was really a cherry pie, which her daughter is allergic to. Tiffany’s lawsuit reads; “Aside from her child’s sickness, Plaintiff suffered monetary and non-monetary damages and was caused to feel guilty, helpless, ashamed, angry, betrayed, and stressed.” What she should feel is stupid as is this case and I hope it gets thrown out of court in a hurry!
She is seeking $35,000.
