Six Drink Recipes To Try Out This Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day is a time for remembering those who died while serving our country. It’s also a day for barbecue-ing and drinking. Here are some fun drink ideas brought to you by Adelphia Wine Company in East Brunswick to help you get that party started.
1. Frozen Blue Lemonade
- 1½ oz. white rum
- 1 oz. blue curacao
- 3 oz. Lemonade Sparkling ICE
Garnish: blueberries
Combine all ingredients with ice in a blender. Blend on high until it becomes slushy. Pour into a glass and garnish with blueberries.

2. Red, White, & Boom
- 1¾ oz. SVEDKA Stars & Stripes
- ¾ oz. lemonade
- ½ oz. triple sec
- 1 oz. cranberry juice
- 6 limes, juiced
- 12 c. ice
Garnish: blueberries and strawberries
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher filled with ice. Garnish with blueberries and strawberries.

3.Watermelon Cooler

2 oz. Karlsson’s Gold Vodka
- 3 watermelon chunks
- ¾ oz. lemon juice
- ½ oz. elderflower liqueur
Muddle watermelon in the bottom of a glass. Add ice and remaining ingredients. Stir and garnish with a watermelon wedge

4. Fire Cracker
- 1½ oz. EFFEN Vodka
- ¾ oz. JDK & Sons O3 Premium Orange Liqueur
- ¾ oz. pomegranate juice
- ¾ oz. lime juice
- ¾ oz. simple syrup
- 1 dash bitters
Garnish: lime wheel and cherry
To make simple syrup, mix equal parts hot water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel and cherry.

5. Stars & Stripes Sipper
- 2 oz. Brugal Extra Dry Rum
- Grapefruit juice
- Club soda
Garnish: lime wedge
Pour rum into a glass filled with ice. Top with juice and soda. Garnish with a lime wedge.

- 1 oz. Skinnygirl White Cherry Vodka
- 4 oz. sparkling water
- 1 oz. pineapple juice
Garnish: pineapple wedge, cherry, mint sprig
Combine all ingredients in a glass filled with ice and stir. Garnish with a cherry and mint sprig.
