In a recent story on Magic983.com we shared a sleep hack that’s gone viral on TikTok. Callie Galey is a TikTok user who recently posted a unique sleep-deprived saving sleep hack to help us with our sleep issue.

According to the Centers for disease Control and Prevention, about thirty-three percent of us aren’t sleeping enough.

If you’re on TikTok, you may have seen a sleep hack or two like “bed rotting” or “mouth taping.” They don’t always work, but there are some sleep hacks that can actually help you get some much-needed rest.

For those in need of a good night's sleep, the experts at Haypp.com dug up the TikTok sleep hacks and tips that actually work.

Acupuncture Pressure Sleep Hack

“The Anmian” is also known as the peaceful sleep acupuncture point, and can be found right behind your ear. The hack was made popular by @anew.acu, and has around 60 million views. She says, for about a minute, apply gentle pressure behind both ears with your thumb while you’re lying on your back.

Acupuncture pressure aims to help any blockages, disruptions, and imbalances in energy flow, addressing complaints such as pain or difficulty sleeping. A study by HealthMatch of twenty-five patients with sleep disorders found that sixty percent experienced higher quality sleep within the first ten days of acupressure treatment.

Tart Cherry Juice Sleep Hack

The "sleepy girl mocktail" has over twenty-eight million views and it's simple. You combine magnesium, prebiotic soda, and tart cherry juice. It's been made popular by wellness influencer @gracie_norton. I've heard before that cherry juice improves sleep. It contains tryptophan, helps reduce stress, assists in weight loss, and prevents hydration.

Cognitive Shuffling Sleep Hack

If you’re an overthinker and it keeps you up at night, this one may help you shut it down.

The trend was shared by @joelchesters who says it was taught to him by an Oxford professor. It’s gotten close to seven million views. He suggests you list random things in your mind as you try to sleep. It’s similar to “counting sheep” but it may be more effective.

It can get you to fall asleep in five minutes or less, because it tricks the brain’s sleep regulators into feeling groggy and distracts you from any worries or overthinking.

Drunken Monkey Sleep Hack

This one is very popular and is approaching a million views. This includes moving your weight from side to side on your hips, rolling your shoulders back, and flapping your arms.

@usamedical recommends doing these moves for about a minute before bed to increase blood flow, which helps you relax, and relieves stress.

ResearchGate.net reports that low-intensity physical activity significantly improves your sleep quality.
