Brain Scientists Say People Don’t Become Adults Until Their 30’s
Are you in your 20’s and still feel like a kid? Don’t feel bad if you don’t feel ready to take on the adult world. Studies confirm that the “rational” part of the brain doesn’t develop until 25 and it takes a few more years for a mature adult to be mentally present. Legally being an adult doesn’t mean you need to feel like an adult.
According to Cambridge University Professor Peter Jones, the actual process of being an adult takes three decades. That means we can continue to act immature because it’s a part of our brain nature. Isn’t that the best news ever?!
Let’s enjoy our developing brains and not rush to grow up – Maryann Morgan – Joel & Maryann in the Morning
Meet Maryann, who has been chasing magic since the early 90s. Back then, she hosted a love and dedication show at nights on Magic. Talk about romantic vibes! Since then, she traded her evening slot for mornings. When she’s not talking to you on the air, she’s living the glamorous life of a chicken, duck, pigeon, and German Short-Haired Pointer mom. Since Joel can never follow what she says, there is an entire feature called " What are you Talking About" at 9:10. Running is her secret to staying out of trouble – or at least staying ahead of the extra pounds. She has a husband named Matt, and a son named Zack, who she says makes her world a little adventure.
