Circus Vazquez Performing at Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall
As a kid, going to the circus was awesome. I would dream about what it would be like to swing from the “flying trapeze” and was terrified of the thought of walking on the tightrope. The acrobatics were amazing and jaw dropping, and they still are.
That excitement is coming to Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, New Jersey with Circus Vazquez. It’s currently the largest family-owned big top circus in the United States and is performing its brand new 2024 production.
Circus Vazquez is currently run by the five Vazquez brothers who are the third generation of their family to manage this circus. It features an all-human cast, no animals are used, and features amazing performers from all over the world including Mexico, Columbia, Guinea, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, and the United States.
The show blends the modern with the traditional and features a brand neand w cast of extraordinary circus superstars, Circus Vazquez presents unforgettable entertainment that is fun for all ages. It has a distinctive climate-controlled blue and white tent that is the largest of its kind currently touring the United States.
The circus was created by the Vazquez family and I recently spoke Jose Vazquez, a 20 years veteran juggler and a fourth-generation performing member of the Vazquez family. Jose shared, “We bring a show that’s for the whole family. It’s also a circus that’s grown in technology keeping the traditional circus essence so that everyone can go and see the trapeze artists, jugglers, acrobats, clowns, so it’s a pretty nice and amazing show with no animals, it’s a human only experience.”
Interview with Circus Vazquez Juggler
Jose is the cousin of siblings Jan and Carolina Vazquez. Their specialty is also juggling and performing on a device called a “Rolla Bola” which is like a see-saw that sits on a cylinder. It’s a traditional circus apparatus that takes years to master.
Now in its 55th year of entertaining audiences, the 2024 Circus Vazquez show features a brand-new cast, brand-new thrills, brand-new laughs, and brand-new excitement.
