When one of the Broadway Series shows comes to STNJ we get the chance to chat with one of the cast members of the show. Another Broadway Series show, Mean Girls is on the schedule.
We had the opportunity to speak with Mikaela Rada who is from Bayonne, NJ, part of the ensemble and making her national tour debut. She’s also performed in Footloose, Miss Saigon, The Wedding Singer, and the world premiere of Punk Rock Girl by Joe Iconis. The play is direct from Broadway, Mean Girls is one of the funniest musicals you’ll ever see. It comes from an award-winning creative team, including book writer Tina Fey (30 Rock), composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), and original director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon).

Showtimes for Mean Girls at State Theatre New Jersey are Saturday, May 11th at 2 pm and 8 pm, and Sunday, May 12th for shows at 1 pm and 6:30 pm.
State Theatre New Jersey is a nonprofit and one of the oldest theaters in New Jersey. Originally starting with vaudeville acts in 1921 the theater now features a variety of programming including musicals, concerts, and comedy acts. As of June 2020, over six million patrons have come through the theater, which houses over 1800 seats.
