There are dog lovers, there are cat lovers, and then there are both. I happen to be one who truly loves both, but I think I lean in the direction of one of these two species.
If I had to choose one, (don’t hate me, cat lovers), I’d have to say that dogs are more for me. I’ve had many in my life, but don’t have either right now. Although I do have a lot of fun with all the dogs in our neighborhood. I walk my neighbors’ dogs. I watch them when they’re away. I’ll also take them to the park or beach with the family.
Millions travel to our shores every year to enjoy over a hundred miles of sand and sun. So, this might make one wonder, “What are some of the best dog beaches in New Jersey that I can take my dog? I’m not sure if cat beaches are a good idea. That would be like a giant litter box.

According to a new report by veterinarians.org, there are some fantastic dog beaches right here in New Jersey. Whether you live here or visit here, you need to consider your dog when planning your vacation. These are dog-mind-blowing playground experiences that your pup will love. They’ll also enjoy playing and sniffing the other pups in the sand.
Where Are the Dog Beaches in New Jersey
Number one on their list is 8th Avenue Dog Beach in Asbury Park. All dogs are welcome as long as it’s before 8 every morning and after 6:30 each night from May 15th through the end of September.
Another beach that received high marks is Wildwood Dog Park and Beach. This doggy destination was just remodeled recently and is more friendly to both dogs and humans. They’ve added shaded areas to stay cool. Unlike some other parks, all dogs are permitted to be leash-free.
Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area on 3rd Avenue in Manasquan is one of the less crowded spots. If you have a fur baby who’s a bit shy around other canines, this might be a good choice. It’s dog welcoming hours are between ten and four. However, leashes are always required.
