Jeopardy is one of the longest-running U.S game shows right up there with The Price is Right however now Jeopardy will be bringing back their ‘Tournament of Champions” next month and the intensity is building up.
With a possible total of sixteen games and twenty-one players this is looking to be one of, if not, the most important seasons in the show’s history as its popularity has remained strong over its many years. With returning champions Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, and Amy Schneider being seeded contestants meaning they get shot straight into the semifinals. Once the quarterfinals are over there will be three games with the remaining nine players who face off for their spot in the final.
Afterward, the final three contestants will race to reach a total of three wins, the crowned winner will not only have the title of the winner of Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions, but they will also walk away with any prize money being offered on top of what they may win during the game itself. October is going to be an interesting month indeed as we are still waiting for two of the spots to be filled so who knows maybe someone from New Jersey will be thrown into the mix, but then it wouldn’t be fair for the other contestants would it?
The action begins on Halloween of all days October 31st at 7 p.m. ET. So, who are you rooting for in the Tournament? While the seeded champions are a good bet you never know who may come out on top. Host Ken Jennings will take the reigns as it was announced back in July. We’ll keep you up to date on all the latest information as it becomes available, but if you want to see more content about all the great things happening in New Jersey, sign up for our newsletter so you never miss a moment with us at Magic.

RiRi also got a shoutout from Jay-Z who signed the Bajan singer in 2005 when he was the president of Def Jam.

However, what has yet to be announced is if the “We Found Love” singer will be joined on stage by any fellow artists. Last year, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar performed during the Super Bowl Halftime show with a special appearance from 50 Cent. Dr. Dre also brought out Anderson .Paak who performed on the drums. 50 and .Paak were great additions to the originally billed artists’ performances.
When asked about advice he has for Rihanna ahead of the gig, Dre told PEOPLE, “Put the right people around you, and have fun.”
“That’s basically what it is, making sure you have the right creative people around you,” he continued, adding, “She might want to look into some of the people that we used to do our show.”
