UPDATED: Record Store Day 2020: List of Expected Releases
UPDATED: Record Store Day is hitting the pause button because of the coronavirus. Organizers have moved the sale from April 18th to June 20th.
Several limited-edition vinyl discs are planned for this year’s Record Store Day. Here are some highlights:
-Maroon 5 “Memories” 7″ single with a photo book and B-side remix
-Sam Smith 12″ picture disc covering Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love.”
-U2 12″ LP featuring their first single, “11 O’Clock Tick Tock,” plus two unreleased live recordings from 1980.
-Ellie Goulding double LP set of her debut album, “Lights” with 6 remixes
-Hootie and the Blowfish double-live album “Live at Nick’s Fat City,” from a 1995 show in Pittsburgh, PA including a Beatles cover.
-Elton John 50th anniversary deluxe edition of his self-titled album
Other artists releasing limited-edition vinyl include Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard and many others.
Record Store Day is Saturday, April 18.
