Hey!! That’s MY Suitcase!!!
If you’ve ever flown on a commercial airline, you don’t learn that they lost your luggage until it doesn’t show up on the carousel.
In the case of Karn Rateria, he knew in advance — because he could see his bag sitting on the tarmac as his plane was taking off.
He tweeted:
Uhm @lufthansa you’ve left my bag on the tarmac! I told the crew and they just said loading is complete. I can SEE the bag. And we’re taking off without it. What even is this????? pic.twitter.com/6ecd1akfve

Taken from the airplane window, his bag sitting all alone and forgotten on the tarmac outside a terminal at Munich International Airport.
The airline replied 22 minutes later:
Very sorry for that. There was an outage of the baggage system at the airport in Frankfurt. My colleagues are doing their best to locate the bags and send them as quick as possible. /Sam

And then K-Rat shot back to let them know his bag was NOT IN FRANKFURT, IT’S IN MUNICH!!
Almost a day later they were reunited:
UPDATE - GOT THE BAG!

Thanks to everyone who messaged with support. To the people who laughed, I shall join you once I’m unpacked.
Anyway, happy to be reunited with my it. Hope none of you have to watch your bag being left behind and not be able to do anything about it. pic.twitter.com/u3JK9oD1eg
Have a nice flight!
