If you've ever flown on a commercial airline, you don't learn that they lost your luggage until it doesn't show up on the carousel.

In the case of Karn Rateria, he knew in advance -- because he could see his bag sitting on the tarmac as his plane was taking off.

He tweeted:

Taken from the airplane window, his bag sitting all alone and forgotten on the tarmac outside a terminal at Munich International Airport.

The airline replied 22 minutes later:

And then K-Rat shot back to let them know his bag was NOT IN FRANKFURT, IT'S IN MUNICH!!

Almost a day later they were reunited:
