Let Magic 98.3 help you find your next “furry love!”

Hey, it’s Debbie, and if you’ve listened to me on the air or visited my blog, you know how much of an animal lover I am! But my love for animals goes beyond my two cats at home, Rock Star Cat Cornell and Dolly Dagger. (Yeah, I’m a rock chick, too, in case you missed it!)

I’ve always loved helping animals in need, even to the point where I feed the strays in the parking lot here at Magic and the cats who live outside and near my house!

That’s why I was thrilled to be able to help bring back Magic’s “Kitty Corner and Kennel Club!” We’ve teamed up with Karma Cat and Zen Dog Society of Milltown to feature some adorable animals in need of a “fur-ever” home!

When I visited Karma Cat and Zen Dog Society, I got a chance to spend time with so many cute dogs and cats! The founder, Christie Arlotta, and one of the amazing volunteers, Heidi Orpilla, work tirelessly to find wonderful, loving homes for all of these animals.

After a few minutes of being there, I immediately fell in love with Ronan, a beautiful cat that just stole my heart! I was almost thinking of adopting him myself, but before I even had a chance to do it, he was scooped up by his new forever family!

That’s the whole point of doing this, and I’m so excited to bring it back into the spotlight at Magic. We’re all about helping out locals in need, and that includes animals, too!

Even if you can’t adopt right now, you can help with fundraising, volunteering, donations and more. Just by walking through the door, you’ll be greeted by a bunch of cute faces – you on’t be able to resist cracking a smile! And, hopefully, you can help us make a difference in the lives of animals in need! We can’t wait to share more pics and videos of the animals at Karma Kat and Zen Dog Society… hopefully a few of them will be with listeners like YOU, giving them the home they so desperately need and deserve.

Meet Brett, Magic’s 5 p.m. to midnight host. It’s hard to believe, but he's been with Magic since his days as a college student at Rutgers in New Brunswick, right down the street from the Magic studios! In 2009, he started as a street team member, and by 2010, he was on the air. Now, it’s a dream come true to keep you company as you wrap up the workday and enjoy your night. Whether it's the latest news about one of your favorite artists, a cool family event around town, or just something goofy that made him laugh, his goal when he’s on the air with you is to keep you smiling and share something you may not have known when you turned on the radio. I was born and raised in Edison and went to J.P. Stevens High School, so I know Central Jersey through and through—and will always be among the first to defend that it does, in fact, exist! He has a husband, Chuck, whom he met during the early days of the pandemic and do their best to live their best mid-20s lives... in their 30s. He loves live music, wine tasting, and all things Christmas!
