I am a chocoholic and have a cabinet full of anything chocolate from cocoa powder to chocolate cereal. I was excited to read about Mars Wrigley’s coming to Hackettstown, New Jersey! As someone who has an addiction to putting in a bit of chocolate in my mouth every day, I am thrilled about the news of their investment in a test kitchen. According to NorthJersey.com, Mars Wrigley is injecting $70 million into their headquarters for this purpose.
This innovation studio they are building sounds like something out of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and I am looking forward to getting my golden ticket. A test kitchen is where all the magic happens. This is where they will whip up those new flavors and treats we will be drooling over next year. I wish I could work in their test kitchen because I certainly could tell them if what I taste is delicious chocolate.
I am sure there will be changes going on in the packaging lab. I know companies need to create colors and designs on packaging to look a little more trendy to seem new and fresh. I kind of like the old packaging so I can identify my favorite candies easily. But, as everyone needs to flow with the times, I am sure we will see some colorful designs on those M&M’s and Snickers bars packaging.
Mars Wrigley’s $70 Million Investment in Hackettstown
Mars Wrigley say they will be putting their money into making sure everything’s top-notch at their Hackettstown factory. They want to make sure every bite of chocolate you take is not just tasty but safe and made with care. Mars Wrigley also plans to spend the money on manufacturing improvements and food safety advances at their Hackettstown factory.
I will end my story with a little interesting historical fact about the candy manufacturer. Mars used to operate in Newark when M&M’s were first created as military rations in 1941.
