It’s another weekend over here at Magic 98.3 and we want to celebrate with you, but there is a looming question that every New Jerseyan has when they go out to their local bar. What kind of Cocktail do I want? Well Top Data looked at the trends of every state and you won’t believe what New Jersey’s favorite cocktail is.
Well let’s start off with some data, since the pandemic visits during everybody’s favorite happy hour went down dramatically. However, in more recent months the numbers have been on the up and up, with a 54% national increase in visits with August being the highest number recorded compared to pre pandemic figures.
How often are residents of the Garden State really going out though? Well according to the data New Jersey this year has 10.4 bar visits per 100k residents. It may not be as large a number as say North Dakota which ranked first with 22.4 bar visits per 100k, but considering New Jersey has a little over ten times the population of North Dakota, 10.4 is quite a lot. Now what is New Jersey’s Cocktail preference?
Well, this may come as a shock to some but the classic Margarita was not only New Jersey’s favorite cocktail, but the preferred choice of 21 other states including Florida, Illinois and of course New Jersey! So, no wonder we’ve seen more fun in the sun this summer, but with the fall weather now quickly approaching you may want to get your favorite cocktails in, to see the full data as well as which states preferred which cocktail Click Here. So, keep up with all the fun in the Garden State with us at Magic.
'Knives Out 2' Teaser Trailer: 'Everyone's In Danger'
Daniel Craig returns as crime-solving detective Benoit Blanc in the first teaser for Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. He is joined by an all-star cast including Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Ethan Hawke, Kathryn Hahn, Janelle Monae, Dave Bautista, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline.
Just like the first Knives Out film which came out in 2019, Detective Blanc attempts to solve a murder-mystery-themed cruise hosted by Norton’s character, tech billionaire Miles Bron. As time goes on, things are not what they seem (surprise!) as at least one person intends on making the murder-mystery more than just a game.
“The phrase I kept coming back to and talking about the first movie is, ‘It’s a roller coaster and not a crossword puzzle,’” writer/director/producer Johnson said in a statement. “It’s a common mistake in writing whodunits, thinking that you’re making a crossword puzzle, and that the fun is that the audience is actually going to analyze all this and figure it out.”
As we earlier reported, Netflix spent $450 million for the rights to Knives Out 2 and 3, making it the biggest film purchase in history — almost double the budget of Netflix’s The Gray Man ($200 million).
If you haven’t watched Knives Out yet, Craig’s Blanc investigates the murder of a wealthy eccentric crime novelist in his house. His money-grabbing family finds themselves under suspicion. The original film featured an ensemble cast consisting of Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, and the late Christopher Plummer. Rent Knives Out on streamers like AppleTV and Amazon Prime Video for $3.99.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery arrives on Netflix on December 23. Knives Out 3, which does not yet have a title, is set to release in 2024.Watch the teaser trailer for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery below:
