Coquito? YES PLEASE!
Many of us have different traditions during the holiday season and since my mother is Puerto Rican, the one thing always available during the Christmas season is Coquito! This is a coconut based drink which is similar to eggnog and should only be consumed if you’re 21 years or older.
Every year my mother gets a bunch of empty 2 liter bottles so she can give them out to friends and family and trust me when I say this, they’re 100% satisfied with their gift. I have googled different recipes to make my own batch of Coquito, but for some reason they just never seem to come out like Mamas. She has even told me her recipe and yet they still don’t taste the same. Knowing her & her Puerto Rican habits, she definitely puts Sazón or Adobe into it but she’s holding out on the little detail. LOL!
If you’ve never had this delicious holiday drink check out this recipe below and attempt to make some, I promise you will not be disappointed! But if you aren’t pleased with the outcome just give me a call and I’ll have Mamadukes change your mind real quick! ;)~
