7 Year Old NJ Transplant Recipient in Need of Help
It’s always difficult to write or read about things like this. However, it’s much harder for the people who need or have had organ transplants.
Nearly 110,000 patients in the United States are currently waiting for solid organ transplants, with up to 20,000 more searching for a cord blood, marrow, or stem cell match. Each day, about 95 people receive an organ transplant. Each day, 20 people die waiting for an organ transplant.
NJ Transplant Family Needs Help
The family of 7-year-old Sheila Martell, has asked the community and the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) for support and guidance. Sheila had a liver transplant at NYU Langone on April 18, 2024. COTA helps families who are facing a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA funds are used for transplant-related expenses, and COTA’s services are provided free of charge.
They aim to raise $50,000.00 for COTA in honor of Sheila Martell to assist with transplant-related expenses. A team of Sheila’s family and friends are asking for help by sponsoring their upcoming Golf Event at Farmstead Golf & Country Club on September 6, 2024.
There are different levels of sponsorship. You can be a course sponsor, a golf towel sponsor, a golf ball sponsor, a dinner or lunch sponsor, a beverage cart sponsor, or an individual hole sponsor.
100% of funds raised go directly to COTA for Its Sheila’s World transplant-related expenses like Sheila’s.
