New Jersey Top 5 Among States Addicted to Most Downloaded App

A new study has revealed which states are most obsessed with the social media app TikTok. New Jerseyans were exposed as the fifth-most addicted. That’s no shocker, I have several friends and family members who reinforce the research. They bury their faces in their phones flipping through videos constantly. A recent study by QRFY analyzed Google searches related to TikTok. They found that seventy-eight percent of those twelve to twenty-seven feel obsessed with the app.
Most Addicted State
The top spot is California, which is no surprise given its massive presence of social media influencers and share-worthy shops, restaurants, and beaches. California is America’s TikTok hotspot. In second place, the state of Nevada had a high monthly search average which revealed a large proportion of their population find the app addictive. Ranking in third place, showing that the city that never sleeps is up all night watching TikTok. Georgia follows closely behind at number four with just nine searches fewer than New York. We here in Jersey made the top five with nearly five thousand searches per one hundred thousand residents each month.
Least Addicted State
On the other end of the scale, the state of Wyoming ranked last, fifty-seven percent less than the most obsessed state, California.
Overall, the nation reported an average monthly search volume of over thirteen million for TikTok. Since the app was launched it has had an estimated one billion monthly users worldwide.
The rankings, created by QR Code Generator QRFY analyzed nationwide Google search volume behind 28 keywords related to TikTok including ‘TikTok App’, ‘TikTok dances’, and ‘TikTok songs’ to identify which states are most obsessed with the app. This volume was then scaled against each state’s population to determine which of the platform content is searched the most. QRFY’s CEO Marc Porcar said, “While the platform can be an amazing tool for sharing information and content across the globe, it can also tempt users to spend excessive amounts of time consuming content that isn’t always beneficial for their mental health.”

Back in September 2021, North interrupted her mom's makeup haul to ask, “Why do you talk different?” Kardashian replied: “For my videos, I’m the same human being. I don’t talk different. How do I talk different? Guys, do you think I talk different when I’m talking about contour?”
Both North and her cousin Penelope Disick were in the bathroom with Kim, agreeing that she sounds like she is talking in a different tone when talking to her hundreds of millions of followers. When Kim asked the girls how she sounded, North delivered an accurate impression of Kim’s high-pitched voice, with Penelope seen chuckling in the background. Kim posted a collage of folks on X (formerly Twitter) loving North ragging on her mom to her Story, saying things like, “‘You always say you’re glad when you’re mad,’ by Ms. North West,” and “Not North clocking Kim for her business voice.” Kardashian’s minimalistic style isn’t safe from North, either. Her daughter has complained when Kim wears too much black. “North is very opinionated when it comes to what I’m wearing,” Kim said in March 2022.
