Survey Reveals How Many of Us in New Jersey Are Regifters
I’ll just say it right now. I’m a regifter. However, I’ve only regifted maybe four or five times in my life. I know that doesn’t make it right. If you shoplift one thing or a hundred things, you’re a shoplifter either way. The same goes for regifting. Therefore, I am guilty. I will also add this bit of information to bolster my defense. It’s always been something that the person I’m regifting too would love. There have been a couple of instances where it was a case of beer, a bottle of wine, or another unopened bottle of alcohol. That’s ok, right?
New Jersey Regifters
If you live here in New Jersey, your Christmas gift may have been given to somebody else. You have a little less than fifty percent chance that your gift is no longer in the hands of the person you gifted it to.
That’s one of the takeaways from Casino.org‘s new survey on regifting: People in New Jersey were found to have a regifting score of fifty-five. That means that forty-five out of a hundred have regifted.
That’s not nearly as common as the folks in Alabama. They’ve regifted more than every other state with a score of zero.
For the record, Mississippians do it the least and receive. According to the survey, no one there regifts.
However, we shouldn’t feel guilty because the survey shows about forty-eight percent of Americans admitted to passing off a gift they’ve already been given.
Two in five admitted to tossing a gift they don’t like, and one in four said they’ve sold a gift they didn’t want. These same folks profited an average of sixty bucks. The survey also showed that clothing items are the most disappointing gift to get..
The good news is that at least we’re nice about it. Just over ninety-three percent kept a Christmas present they disliked or didn’t use. Seventy percent of those recipients say they did it to spare the giver’s feelings.
Each state was scored on a scale of 0-100 to find the naughtiest and nicest ranking.
