It’s Monday morning, you’re extremely tired from the busy weekend, and the thought of the looming work week has left you needing a little pick-me-up. Your decision-making isn’t the best in this precarious position you’ve put yourself in. You decide to start your week with a fast and easy breakfast from one of your favorite fast-food joints.
Whether you’re craving the iconic golden arches or a meal from the self-proclaimed king of the burgers, this may not be the best idea. However, it could be just the boost you need to get going. We all have a soft spot for a morning delight from our beloved fast-food favorites.
But have you ever stopped to wonder which fast-food chain has the healthiest and unhealthiest menu items? Well, wonder no more, thanks to a new study by Casino Canada. They have crunched the numbers to reveal the unhealthiest items based on calories. They even calculated the number of burpees that would be needed to burn them off.
Starting by revealing America’s top ten favorite fast-food chains, the study then looked at which of those chains had a breakfast menu before working out the unhealthiest options.
It’s not good news for Subway fans, as two of the top three items with the highest calorie count are taken by their footlong sandwiches. There is always the option to get the 6-inch option, but if you’re going to splurge you may as well go a little crazy.
However, the top spot is taken by Mickey D’s with their iconic Big Breakfast with hotcakes.
