Make-A-Wish Celebrates 40th Anniversary/World Wish Day [Interview]
Joel and Maryann catch up with Michael Dominick, Director of Communications at Make-A-Wish New Jersey.
It was 40 years ago that a 7 years old boy named Chris, battling leukemia, experienced life-changing joy when he became a police officer for the day. Since April 1980 Make-A-Wish has created life-changing wishes for over 330,000 children.
Make-A-Wish New Jersey creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. In the fight against a critical illness, a wish serves as a catalyst for renewed strength and encouragement for every child and family. A wish helps kids look past their limitations, families overcome anxiety and entire communities experience joy. Most importantly, wishes can improve a child’s quality of life. Make-A-Wish New Jersey was founded in 1983, and has granted over 11,000 wishes since its inception.
