Jon Bon Jovi Surprises Kindergarten Class
You may remember a couple weeks ago we told you that Jon Bon Jovi wrote a song called”Do What You Can” and invited fans to write the second verse, based on their COVID-19 experiences. On Monday, he met face-to-face with an online classroom of Florida kindergarten students who contributed their own lyrics.
Students at Marsh Pointe Elementary in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, were surprised virtually; it was arranged by their teacher, Michael Bonick.
Michael is a big Bon Jovi fan and asked the kids to write about their lives in quarantine. He sent it in and was informed that Jon wanted to meet the students.
“Mr. B got you guys writing and I was very excited to hear that,” Jon told the class of 20 kids. “Because if you get to put your feelings down on paper, sometimes they’ll turn into songs, sometimes they’ll turn into stories and you never know where it might lead you.”
He then performed “Do What You Can” using three of the kids’ writings about being quarantined.
After it was over all of the kids asked, “who was that.” (not really) The parents surely knew and were blown away! See it here…
