In order to stop the spread of COVID-19 and the latest surge of omicron cases, the United States government is now offering free at-home rapid testing kits which will be sent out by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).

Starting today (January 18), New Jersey residents among others can visit to get their free at-home COVID-19 tests. It will take between 7-12 days for the tests to ship, however, they are completely free.

The website states that every home in the United States is eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests.

The White House fact sheet states:

“To ensure equity and access for all Americans, the Administration will also launch a call line to help those unable to access the website to place orders, and work with national and local community-based organizations to support the nation’s hardest-hit and highest-risk communities in requesting tests.”
