Social media was buzzing yesterday about the Met Gala and fashion trends. Some people were called out for not understanding the theme, but… What, exactly, was it??

Was I the only one who was kind of lost on all of this? I was watching the red carpet and gala highlights while I was on the air with you last night, and people kept discussing “camp fashion.” To be honest, I thought there was some nature theme. Campfires and s’mores, anyone?
Apparently, it’s actually a reminder to not take yourself too seriously. As the kids say, it’s basking in the glow of “being extra,” or a bit over the top with your fashion choices and basking in them. And there were certainly plenty of memorable outfits! Definitely learned something new yesterday!

For me, I consider myself “fashionable” when I spring for shoes that cost me more than $50! And wear my Christmas suit. And unicorn onesie. Oh! And the Christmas romper, too! Wait; maybe I understood what camp fashion was all along!
