2nd Annual Red Bank Oktoberfest Returns With Free Admission
Back to School time can be a difficult time for parents and kids alike. Today I’m making the five-hour trek to take my daughter back to college, this time of year can be a little hectic for a few weeks before we get settled into our fall routine. The back-to-school shopping can be stressful as well.
One way to shed the “Oh no, it’s the end of summer blues” is to check out one or more of the weekend festivals in Central Jersey as autumn creeps around the corner. There is one in particular that looks like it going to be an incredible event.
Oktoberfest in Red Bank
The 2nd annual Red Bank Oktoberfest is one festival that guarantees a great time. It happens in September because we just can’t wait another month.
It’s presented by RiverCenter who has teamed with Triumph Brewing, Fresh Markets, and The Two River Theater. In what hopes to be an event that returns for many years to come, last year’s inaugural Oktoberfest in Red Bank was enjoyed by over two thousand beer lovers family, and friends. All ages are invited and the cost is very affordable, it’s free for everyone.
It’s happening on Saturday, September 21 from one to five in Edmund Wilson Plaza which is located next to the brewery and the theatre at 1 Bridge Avenue. If it rains the Oktoberfest will end up actually being in October on the sixth.

Of course, there will be beer tasting. Unlimited tasting packages are available for forty-five bucks in advance or fifty-five on the day of the festival. You can also pre-order the twenty-five dollar Oktoberfest twelve pack which includes a dozen samples which will be thirty-five dollars on the day of the festival.
With the weather expected to stay warm this month, it’s a fantastic way to enjoy an afternoon in Central Jersey.
