March is National Nutrition Month and this morning I welcomed Award-Winning Author and Nutritionist, Dr. Sylvia Meléndez Klinger, who is also an American Heart Association representative. She shared a lot of valuable information including the best ingredient swaps to make healthy changes.
Nutrition research is constantly evolving, and it can be challenging to keep up with the changes. In fact, 7 in 10 people believe changing nutrition information makes it hard to know what to believe. Even when families are trying to make healthier meals, they’re often confused about what to eat.
In the interview, Sylvia discusses tips to make cooking at your home easy, affordable, and delicious without giving up the foods you love. She also puts an end to the cooking oil debate, answering the question, “which cooking oil is recommended for a healthier heart?” She also shares delicious spins on classic science-backed and American Heart Association-approved dishes.
Sylvia discusses the importance of a balanced diet and how it can prevent health conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.

All awards shows should have slime! It’s more fun!
The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2023 was, as usual, a slime-filled, star-studded event. It was hosted by Nate Burleson and Charlie D’Amelio live from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.
The annual Nickelodeon ceremony honors the best in film, television, music, sports, and more, and it’s all voted on by people from all over the world. There were a lot of big winners for the night, but when it comes to the music category Taylor Swift and Harry Styles took home multiple orange blimps. Taylor won two of the Awards, one for Favorite Female Artist and the other for Favorite Album for Midnights – 3am Edition. Harry beat Taylor’s total with three for Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Global Music Star, and Favorite Song for “As It Was.”
Awards were also handed out for television, film, sports, video games, pets, and literature.
The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2023 are scheduled to air again tonight at 7:00 on TeenNick, and tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7, at 8:00 on Nicktoons. The show is also available on Nickelodeon On Demand.
