Maryann Found the Favorite Bagel Toppings

In case you were unaware, January 15 has officially been declared National Bagel Day. Hundreds of bagel lovers around the USA voted in favor of changing the date which used to be shared with National Pizza Day which is February 9.

Bagels seem to be one of the easiest things to bring into work when you want to share with co-workers. I don’t know about your office, but it seems like once a week someone is bringing in bagels for all of us.  I am usually a butter girl.  You can keep your fancy toppings, just give me the butter! That inspired me to go around my office asking each and every one co-worker what their favorite bagel topping is and here’s what I found:

Toppings I Thought Would Make the List:

  1. Butter
  2. Cream Cheese
  3. Peanut Butter and Jelly
  4. Nutella
  5. .Eggs

Here’s What Did Make The List of Favorite Toppings:

  1. Meatball Sandwich – frozen meatballs, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce in a toaster oven for 10 minutes
  2. Pizza Bagel – pepperoni or sausage, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce in a toaster oven for 10 minutes
  3. Tuna Melt – tuna, mayo, a layer of tomato slice and cheese in a toaster oven for 10 minutes
  4. Turkey Sandwich – slices of turkey and cheese
  5. Lox or Salmon with Capers

After speaking with my co-workers I decided a meatball sandwich bagel sounds deliscious! I am headed to the supermarket now… speak to you tomorrow morning with Joel and Maryann in the Morning! Enjoy your bagel no matter how you top it – Maryann Morgan
