My Awesome Experience at New Family Entertainment Spot in Edison
Last week, a bunch of us went on a cool team-building adventure at Supercharged Entertainment on Route One in Edison. One day at lunchtime we took the short trip to Supercharged, right next to Top Golf on Route One.
My first thought was, yes this is great for adults, but my kids and their friends are going to love this! This is a great place to spend the whole day with the family, and not do the same thing twice. It really is “insane family fun.”
There are so many things to do, from the two-story drop and twist tower to the world’s largest multi-level, indoor karting track. There are also nineteen lanes of axe throwing, which I had never tried.
They’ve also got a huge arcade and gaming lounge, which seems to go on forever. I also made a stop at the Burgers and Brews restaurant and had an awesome lunch.
First up was the indoor karting track. At first, I was apprehensive because whenever I’ve ridden go-karts, the exhaust made me feel queasy. I should have realized because I knew it was an indoor track, but I was so happy when I found out that the cars were all electric-powered.
They gave us a quick 2-minute safety training demo, fit us for our helmets, and sat us in our race cars. I was disappointed after the first race because I came in third, but I considered that my learning ride to get to know how to handle the car and how to navigate the track. I decided that I was going to win the second race, no excuses. Thankfully, I ended up winning by less than ¼ of a second, still a win. The results were sent right to my phone.
Then we hit the axe throwing. Having never done it, I didn’t know what to expect. It was so much more fun than I anticipated. Again, after a quick safety talk which included tips on how to hold and throw the axe, we dove right into it. We also got the video below of our trip, which includes my axe-throwing bullseye.
