Tarot Tuesday: December 6, 2022

Hi, it’s Debra from Golden Bee Tarot and Reiki. Welcome to the December 6th edition of Tarot Tuesday! This month we are working with the Winter Waite Tarot by Tarot Collectibles and the Christmas Oracle by John Hijatt.

It’s time now to close your eyes and turn your attention inward.  Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold for a brief pause then slowly release your breath. Continue to breathe evenly with eyes closed until you feel calm and centered.  Then open your eyes and connect with the cards. When you’re ready, choose the pile of cards you feel most drawn to.

Now that you’ve chosen your cards, let’s take a look at the reveal.

• 1. Tree/Four of Cups:

  Are you feeling disconnected or a general lack of enthusiasm in your life?  The Four of Cups suggests that you have lost interest in the things that used to bring you happiness.  Or perhaps you are disillusioned by what you perceive as a lack of emotional fulfillment.  It's clear that boredom has set in and you have chosen to check out instead of mustering up the energy to look at what is going on around you.  The solution to your dilemma lies in the energy of the Tree card.  It represents life and your connection to something greater than yourself.  It is inviting you to get grounded while simultaneously reaching out your arms and heart to the beauty and goodness that surround you.  There is a gift waiting for you in the wings.  Look beyond what is directly in front of you and you will rediscover the joy you've been missing.

• 2. Blizzard/Eight of Pentacles (Reversed):

  The Eight of Pentacles in the reversed position tells the story of good intentions gone awry.  The dedication and focus you started out with has been replaced by sloppiness and a lack of effort.  Somewhere along the way, you have become blinded to your true purpose and have forgotten the reason why you were putting all this effort into your plans and projects.  You're now lost in the storm without a clear direction or a place to shelter until it all blows over.  You need to turn this around quickly or your carelessness will ultimately lead to failure.  Pull back, take a break and reassess your situation through a lens of objectivity.  Don't let the snow and howling winds blow you off course.  You can get this venture back on track by committing  to rediscovering your purpose and correcting the errors you have made.
