Holmdel Mayor DJ Luccarelli and the Township Committee announced that they will be sponsoring a donation drive to provide aid to those affected by this month’s earthquake in Turkey and Syria. All members of the Holmdel community and all neighbors are invited to participate.

Donated items can be dropped off in the lobby of Holmdel Town Hall, located at 4 Crawfords Corner Road. The Township is also asking that donations be limited to the specifically requested items in order to expedite packing and ensure delivery of the items to the affected areas.

Items being requested include:

  • • Blankets

  • • Sleeping bags

  • • Tents

  • • Pocket warmers

  • • Winter clothing (including hats, gloves, jackets)

  • • Over-the-counter medications for flu, cold relief, and pain relief
