Use Whiskey for Beautiful Skin
We’re always looking for ways to look young and youthful. We’ve tried creams, lotions, facial masks, special diets, juices, bananas, and many other tricks and hacks. We’ll try anything if we feel it will help us achieve smooth and glowing skin.
Well, here’s something else you can try if you’re of legal age to help your skin’s appearance look fabulous. According to a new study reported by SkyNews there’s a new hack, and it involves alcohol.
Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences, Aberdeen, found that whiskey can be successfully used to “reduce inflammation and puffiness, calm redness and fight free radical damage from the environment.”
Actually, “pot ale” which is derived from making whiskey and is also used for animal feed, has many advantages when used in skincare. Many of us are not aware that whiskey contains nutrients and polyphenols (compounds found in many plant foods) and RGU reports that was the main focus of their research.
Rebecca Hastings, founder of the skincare company Zara & Cruz participated in the study and has since started using these ingredients in its skincare products.
So, the next time you’re enjoying your favorite whiskey, rub some on your face to help get rid of some of that puffiness and redness.
