National Vietnam War Veterans Day
On March 29, 1973, the last combat troops left Vietnam. On March 28, 2017, President Trump signed into law The Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017, designating every March 29 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. I would like to take this moment to thank our vets; our Vietnam vets especially! Thank you! This photo is of my children, which I display at the office; they are far too young to have been around for Vietnam, but I have two veterans among them. My son served in Afghanistan. Having been a military Mom in the era of cell phones and being able to order items online with free delivery to to bases around the world, I can’t imagine what it was like for the moms and dads of Vietnam era troops and earlier to not have the relatively frequent check-ins I was able to get from my son’s base in Afghanistan when he was there.
Thank you again for your service!
