Sabrina Carpenter Joins Taylor Swift On Stage During Eras Tour in New Orleans
Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter are two of the biggest voices in pop right now and they took the stage together in New Orleans. This past weekend, Swift was performing in New Orleans during her Eras Tour and brought out Carpenter to surprise the fans.
Swift told fans during her special set that she was going to switch things up a bit and sing a song not in her discography. Instead, she sang a song from Carpenter’s discography instead. “I think tonight I’m going to do something completely different, which is that I’m going to sing a song that’s not mine, but it’s somebody that I really love,” said Swift.
Swift went into detail about her love for Carpenter and discussed how proud she was of her and the year she has been having. “I’m just so proud of Sabrina and the year she’s had,” said Swift. She also mentioned how just a little while ago, Carpenter was on tour with Swift and now she is off doing big things on her own tour following her Short n’ Sweet album.

Swift sang some of Carpenter’s hit song, “Espresso,” and as the crowd sang along she continued to give her praise. Then, Swift grabbed her phone from someone on the side to “call” Carpenter. She said, “I’m really somewhere really loud, I’m in New Orleans on the Eras Tour,” Swift said into the phone. “I just wanted to call and tell you that I sang a little bit of ‘Espresso’ and they said every word so loud. And I just wanted to say we all love you so much. What are you doing? Why aren’t you here with us?”
Moments later, Carpenter responds, “I’m somewhere where everyone is screaming so loud.” The Swift answers, “I’m somewhere where people are screaming so loud. Can you come down to the stadium real quick? Ball park how long would that take you?”
“It would probably take me five seconds,” Carpenter responded. The crowd went crazy and erupted in cheers as they already knew what this meant. Carpenter slowly struts out during the Eras Tour to surprise fans and sing a bit of Espresso with her friend, Taylor Swift. They began to perform and sing the acoustic version of “Espresso” mixed with Swift’s “Is It Over Now” and Carpenter’s “Please, Please, Please” as the crowd cheerfully sang along.
Carpenter made her way to the show in the middle of her tour to make this happen. She took to social media to express her love and gratitude to Swift. Her caption read, “only stage i’d ever wanna see on a day off !!!! thank you for working late, thank you for being a singer and thank you for having me🤍 @taylorswift i love you!!”
