Why Taylor Swift Fans Donated To A Swiftie’s Wedding Fund

One diehard Swiftie had to make a painful sacrifice — sell her prized Taylor Swift memorabilia to pay for her upcoming wedding. However, in familial Swiftie fashion, fellow Taylor Swift fans would not allow her to drop any “teardrops” on her guitar and help the Florida bride. According to Inside Edition, Emily Harris was set on selling a red guitar that was signed by the pop icon.

The fan told the publication though her decision was “very hard,” she felt that it was the “responsible thing to do,” as the couple is paying for their wedding themselves. Harris asked her father, Randy, to see how much the guitar was worth, and he reluctantly agreed. She recalled how he warned her that she might regret this decision “ten years down the line wishing that you still had it.”
How Taylor Swift Fans Saved A Wedding
Looking for advice from the Swiftie community, Randy posted a message on a Taylor Swift fan page on Facebook last month. He wrote: “My daughter is considering selling her signed guitar to help pay for her wedding, any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.” Randy’s post garnered hundreds of comments and reactions, with many people pleading Emily not to sell her “priceless” collector’s item. “Omg! Weddings/marriages come and go but Taylor Swift is forever,” one person wrote. Another fan pointed out, “Sell clothes, pick up a weekend job, but don’t sell the guitar. It’s worth will only increase if it’s properly taken care of.” Meanwhile, a third suggested, “Keep the guitar and get married at the courthouse.”
Other hardcore Swifties advised to start a GoFundMe for the wedding. One fan commented, “I’d be happy to chip in a little so she gets to have the wedding she wants while not having to sacrifice such a treasure!” With that suggestion, the Harrises launched a GoFundMe. Emily stated on the fundraising page, “This is a very, very kind suggestion and we will definitely pay it forward when we can.” So far, fans have surpassed Emily’s $1,813 goal by thousands, reaching over $4,000 and 130 donations since our publishing.
Emily’s fiancé is also blown away by the fans’ kindness in pushing Emily to “keep something so valuable and so meaningful.” Meanwhile, Emily praised the Swift community and called them her friends now. She said it is all due to their common connection to the award-winning, record-breaking artist.
5 Artists We Want To See Play The Sphere In Vegas
After years and millions of dollars, the high-tech entertainment venue that is the Las Vegas Sphere has become “a world-first immersive destination.” The venue first opened in Las Vegas in September 2023, snagging U2 with an ongoing concert residency starting on September 29 and running through March 2. The band’s longtime collaborator and technical director Stefaan “Smasher” Desmedt and technology partner Weka worked together to make the band’s stunning visual imagery in 4K video.
The Future of Entertainment
The Sphere’s LED screen inside the theater is 160,000 square feet, boasting 16,000 pixels by 16,000 pixels — the highest resolution in the world. Also featuring 1,600 speaker panels using spatial audio through the screen without any visible speakers in the auditorium, the venue makes those in attendance fully immersed in sound and visuals. The arena can hold up to 18,600 guests in the auditorium. It is no wonder why the company wants to expand, as it is clearly leading the entertainment industry in the right direction.
Besides U2, rumors of Beyoncé planning a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere swirled after her Super Bowl country album announcement in which she sat atop the glowing globe. Partnering with Verizon in the $50 million advertisement, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer tries to break the internet over and over again. Taking on different personas and skills, she opens a lemonade stand, drops a “saxy” album, becomes a Twitch gamer by the handle @IamSlayoncé, a Beyonc-AI double, Bar-Bey, running for “BOTUS,” on top of the Sphere atop a silver horse, and the first woman to launch the first rocket to the first performance in space. The commercial concluded by cryptically teasing the release of “new music,” Beyoncé’s country album, Act II, on March 29th.
According to the Sphere’s website, the immersive venue will host a wide variety of events, including concerts and residencies from the world’s biggest artists, as well as films. Take a look below at five amazing pop artists who would have amazing performances at the Sphere:
