Jake Paul has been buzzing around ever since he teased about a new fight coming in October, all of this getting hyped up after his rival KSI won two matches in one night. We now have a rumor spreading about who Jake Paul’s next opponent may be and the internet is freaking out over it, but to give some context for those who don’t keep up with the Youtuber turned Pro-Boxer let's recap.
Jake Paul is currently undefeated with a total of five wins, four of which were KOs. He has been getting backlash for months that his professional career doesn’t matter because he has yet to fight a real boxer, He did have two fights against real boxers set up, however, both were canceled due to issues between Jake and his respective challengers.
However, that doesn’t mean Jake has given up as he teased his next opponent saying it will be major news, well now rumors are having it that Anderson Silva fits the bill perfectly for a few reasons. Not only is he the Former Middleweight Champion with the longest title reign in UFC history. He also is no ammeter in the boxing ring either with his pro boxing record being 3-1. Though that’s not all as Most Valuable Promotions made this tweet earlier in August.
Now, who we know has an ok boxing record, fights at 185, and would be a big name that shows fans that Jake Paul is to be taken seriously? Well UFC President Dana White was asked to comment on the rumors, saying he doesn’t care about Jake, but if he is fighting Silva, despite the age difference it’s about time and he has a fight on his hands.
This would potentially be Jake Paul’s most challenging fight to date as Silva had a UFC record of 34-11, with a good portion of his losses coming later in his career. The fight no matter who Jake’s opponent is will be taking place this October so fight fans gets ready, as long as it’s not canceled this time.
