“World’s Largest” Go-Kart Track Set To Open In New Jersey
There are hundreds of fun and awesome activities to keep you busy in the Garden State, from parks to the beach all the way to walking through resumes, now Go-Karting will be thrown into the mix as the “world’s largest” racetrack will open in Edison this Fall.
According to NJ.com, a local go-kart racetrack is being called the world’s largest go-kart racetrack. The company behind the plans is Supercharged Entertainment which owns another large go-kart arena based out of Massachusetts. Set to be located right next to the Top Golf along Route 1 South, this multitrack raceway will hopefully bring in many visitors as well as go-karting enthusiasts.
According to an interview given by Malcolm Jones, the general manager of the Massachusetts location this newest location will be about 30% larger than their current one being both wider and longer in terms of the actual track. Jones predicted that at the widest part four cars could fit.
The owners are not only excited about the plans but are ready for the fun to begin as early as this November. However, racing isn’t the only way to have fun at this planned facility as it’s being reported that 19 lanes will be open for axe throwing as well as; a restaurant, two bars, a massive arcade with 140 games including a virtual reality area, a bumper car stage and to top it off a Drop and Twist Tower ride. With such big aspirations, it’s no wonder the team is planning to get even bigger by having multiple tracks with 10 elevation changes.
As of right now there is no official cost but looking at the Supercharged Entertainment website a single race costs as much as $26.99 with a ten-pack going for $199, but owners have said there are multiple factors in play to determine pricing, so until then keep up with all the local vibes right here at Magic 98.3.
