According to their press release, Chicken of the Sea is offering a million bucks to any person who can find a mermaid. In order to collect the cash, a person must submit video evidence and set up an interview between the mermaid and the company’s mermaid expert. The contest runs until the end of February.
“In celebration of National Mermaid Day, Chicken of the Sea is looking for Scientific Evidence in the form of unaltered video proof of a real-life Mermaid; another majestic and magical sea creature who can effortlessly hold court with Catalina, Chicken of the Sea’s legendary mascot.”
Chicken of the Sea’s rules state, “Mermaid is defined as a half-human sea creature with the identifiable head (i.e., two eyes, one nose, and one mouth) and torso of a woman or man or child or individual and the natural biological tail of a fish or scaled sea-dwelling creature. The Mermaid must be capable of living and breathing underwater without the use of artificial aids, such as scuba gear and/or other breathing apparatus, as well as capable of breathing when above the surface of water. The Mermaid must also be living and breathing without the use of surgical enhancements, makeup, costumes, tricks, props, computer graphics, digital effects and/or other artificial means.”
The company goes on to say that from now until the end of the contest they invite you to track down a real Mermaid, and provide unedited video proof that the creature is very much alive. They also ask that no “Mermaid, Merman, or Merchild is harmed in the process.” They continue, “If your Scientific Evidence passes muster with the brand’s Mermaid Expert, you’ll subsequently be asked to coordinate an in-person meet-up between the live Mermaid and Expert.”
You can upload your evidence here, the contest runs through the end of February.
Pamela Anderson's Sexy Style Transformation Throughout the Years
Pamela Denise Anderson was born on July 1, 1967, in British Columbia. Pamela was first “discovered” at a British Columbia Lions football game when her image was shown on the stadium screen. The fans cheered her and she was brought down to the football field, and because of her fame in Vancouver, she signed a commercial contract with Labatt’s beer to be the “Blue Zone Girl.” After she booked more ads, Playboy soon approached her and by October 1989, she was on the cover of Playboy magazine.
With success from Playboy, Anderson moved to Los Angeles, California in 1990. A year later, she made her television debut on Home Improvement, where she starred as Lisa, the Tool Time Girl. Anderson appeared for 23 episodes from 1991-1997. Anderson then left to focus on Baywatch, playing the role of C.J. Parker.
In 1994, Pamela met Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee on New Year’s Eve 1994 in New York City. In February 1995, they got married in Cancun, Mexico. The couple welcomed two sons over the next few years, Brandon Thomas Lee (born June 6, 1996) and Dylan Jagger Lee (December 29, 1997). During this time, the couple had their pornographic video stolen from their home. Both of them sued the website that stole the video, but their case was not settled and the video is still on the internet. Two months later, Pamela filed for divorce when her husband assaulted her and he was sentenced to six months in jail.
