WATCH: Hundreds Of Flights Get Cancelled After Severe Flooding Inside Newark Airport
New Jersey was slammed with tornadoes and terminal floods throughout the region which suspended operations at Newark Liberty International Airport on September 1.
EWR took a big hit while New Jersey suffered through Tropical Storm Ida. Several videos were shared on Twitter capturing the flooding inside the airport and on nearby streets.
“The storm has passed but our crews are working diligently to clear residual flooding & return ops to normal. As of now, 370 flights are canceled today at #EWR. The National Weather Service reported that over eight inches of rain in total had fallen in Newark on Wednesday night. Customers are now encouraged to check with the airlines to determine the status of their flight.
