Eoin Macken is a Proud First-Time Dad
Eoin Macken is an Irish actor probably well-known for his works in NBC’s sci-fi TV series La Brea as Gavin Harris, a former military pilot, as the lovable and funny Sir Gwaine in the BBC series Merlin, and as the traitor Doc in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
Aside from being an actor, Macken’s also a director, having directed several feature films and a documentary. He’s also modeled for several brands like Ralph Lauren, and Abercrombie and Fitch and for the men’s magazine GQ.
Recently, Macken’s gone viral on social media for a heartwarming reason.
Eoin Macken Welcomes Daughter with Emanuela Postacchini
On his official Instagram page, Macken posted perhaps their first family photo (a Polaroid with black scribbles on the side, the baby’s name, and the time and date of birth) with his girlfriend, Italian actress, Emanuela Postacchini holding the couple’s firstborn. He captioned the post with a simple, “*no caption needed*”
Macken’s been hinting about the arrival of their baby, sharing photos on his Instagram stories. Before the baby’s birth, Macken already confirmed the baby’s gender in a post where they attended the Toronto International Film Festival.
“Lovely evening and dinner with my beautiful girls @EmanuelaPostacchini [plus] one,” with a winking emoji.
Baby Macken
Postacchini, who is known for the movie Riff Raff alongside Jennifer Coolidge and Bill Murray, posted on her social media about the good news. She also shared that they have decided to name their little girl Bianca Lea Macken.
Fans and Macken’s former castmates flooded the comment section, congratulating the two and commenting on how beautiful their baby is.
Taking After Her Dad
Macken shared another photo to his stories earlier this week. He can be seen sleeping on the hospital couch while his daughter, Bianca, sleeps in the crib beside him. It seems the father-daughter duo will be sharing lots of time enjoying a shared passion for sleeping!
Home Sweet Home
A recent update from Macken’s Instagram story reveals that the new parents have officially left the hospital with their newborn. In the photo, Macken’s wearing a baseball cap to tame his disheveled hair carrying two big bags. He posted the story with a caption, “When you’re told you’re legally allowed [to] leave the hospital with this legit real new person. And also, how much stuff she owns. Crazy.” Welcome to the reality of being a girl dad, Eoin!
Congratulations to the new parents!
