Scott Gries/NBAE/ImageDirectAhead of the release of Britney Spears' memoir, The Woman In Me, another revelation about her relationship with Justin Timberlake has come to light. According to gossip website TMZ, Britney apparently wasn't the cheater in the relationship but rather the *NSYNC band member. Spears took the heat for cheating as the reason why their relationship ended. Justin's 2002 hit song, "Cry Me A River," helped to push that narrative. Per her memoir, however, Spears accuses JT of cheating with another celebrity.
As we previously reported, in 2000, Spears got pregnant by Timberlake and the two opted for an abortion. She claims he was the one who pushed for it, as "Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father." They mentioned that the decision to have an abortion continued to have a lasting impact on Spears, who was 19 at the time. She felt Timberlake was the love of her life during their relationship, which lasted three years until 2002. Page Six reported Timberlake was apprehensive about what Britney might reveal in her book.

In the memoir, Britney doesn't name the person Justin cheated on her with. This is because the "If U Seek Amy" singer says the "woman now has a family Brit doesn't want to embarrass." Timberlake has yet to address either revelations about his and Spears' relationship. Britney and Justin met while working together on 1992's The Mickey Mouse Club.
Justin's "Cry Me A River" was written after he and Spears had a nasty argument, with the lyrics and video implying she cheated. She has never denied the claims and released her song "Everytime" the following year. Her writing partner, Annet Artani, says the song was a direct response to "Cry Me a River," which Spears has neither confirmed nor denied. Since the news of Britney's abortion, fans have speculated that "Everytime" is actually about her pregnancy story with Justin. At the end of the music video, there is even a woman giving birth.
The Woman in Me is set to hit bookstores next Tuesday, October 24.
