Where New Jersey Ranks in the Top 10 When It Comes to Gambling

Although Las Vegas is the home of gambling across both the US and the world, people in other states like New Jersey love a visit to a casino just as much as the high rollers in Nevada. I would have thought that Jersey was right behind Vegas, however, with more and more states legalizing many forms of gambling each year that’s not the case. So, which states are home to the biggest gamblers in America?
Thanks to new research from Casinos.com, the Biggest Gamblers in America have been revealed. They analyzed state gambling revenues and cross-referenced them with the adult population in each state and their average annual incomes, and the average percentage of the annual income that is spent on gambling in each state. It revealed which states spend the most money on gambling per year relative to their income.
As can be expected, Nevada blows every other US state out of the water due to it being the home of Las Vegas. Excluding the Silver State, Mississippi is home to America’s biggest gamblers with Mississippians spending on average 1.75% of their annual income on gambling in 2022.
Louisiana and Iowa follow in third and fourth place overall with their average annual gambling expenditure amounting to 0.993% and 0.979% of their annual incomes.
You would think New Jersey would rank higher in all categories because it’s the home of Atlantic City, however, we are in ninth place when it comes to the percentage of income spent on gambling. We are third behind Nevada and Pennsylvania when it comes to state gambling revenue.
The state which spends the least amount of its income per year on gambling is Montana, with just 0.011% of its annual income being spent on gambling, followed closely by Nebraska with 0.012% and then Oregon with just 0.017%.

10 Best NFL Teams Going Into the 2023 Season
Football season is officially here. That’s cause to rejoice, in my book. I really don’t want to see summer end, but the good thing about it is that football is starting up. So, who are the best NFL teams going into the 2023 season?
Of course, everyone has their opinion. But, that opinion is often, or should be, based on fact. Certain teams going into the new season made good on their draft picks, while others kind of flubbed up. Also, many teams – such as the Kansas City Chiefs – have been tough to beat for years. So, of course, they’re going to be favorites.
Before I get into my personal picks for the 10 NFL teams going into the 2023 season, let’s talk about some of the weaker teams. What’s shocking is that the Los Angeles Rams are considered one of the weakest teams this year. I mean, we’re just two years out from their Super Bowl win. So, that’s somewhat surprising. Then again, it’s not surprising seeing their performance last season. I’m ranking them in the bottom five of NFL teams, because I just don’t see them having the players and coaching chemistry to go far this year. That said, they should still bask in the light of their Super Bowl victory.
Also at the bottom of the pack are the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts. Both teams have struggled for years, and they just don’t seem to be making the right decisions on and off the field. Who knows, maybe these teams will turn it around and surprise us. But, right now, the Cardinals, Colts and Rams are looking rough.
