Until now, I would have bet my life that Lionel Richie has had some sort of plastic surgery. Along with seeming to be such a really kind and caring human being, he just looks too good for his age.
After Lionel performed at King Charles’ coronation concert over the weekend, some folks on social media felt the need to comment on how youthful he looks. He’s 73 years old! He’s about the same age as King Charles! While some said he most likely had some sort of plastic surgery, Lionel says the exact opposite. As a matter of fact, he said that he isn’t interested in it at all.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Lionel said there’s a lot that goes along with having work done. It means you have to take time off to heal and then if you don’t like it, you’re stuck with it. “‘It locks you in for that year while you recover, and after that, you can’t go back naturally, you’re staying right there. You try and go back to reset, and you can’t, and, that [stuff] goes wrong!” Plus, there’s another reason Lionel says plastic surgery isn’t for him, “God might not recognize me, so I want to make sure he knows me,” when that day comes.
So the big question is how does Lionel continue to look years younger than his age? Here’s what he said at the Hollywood Beauty Awards…”Water, sleep, and sweat, not too much red meat. I know it’s really boring. [Sex] will work also and it’s good for your heart.”
Lionel told the BBC that he and Charles, who’s 74, have a little joke between them about that.” Charles says, ‘How do you look the way you look and I look the way I look?” Lionel told him, “You come to Hollywood and I can help you.”
