A new study has been released revealing New Jersey's top 5 favorite vacation spots in the United States.

Family Destinations Guide discovered which major city each state wants to spend its summer vacation in based on Google search data. The company's vacation experts examined the annual search volume for vacation-related terms across each state.

It should not be a surprise for the Garden State that each city listed in the top 5 is right here on the East coast. New Jersey's top 5 favorite vacation spots are easily a car ride or a short flight away.

New Jersey's top 5 U.S vacation spots:

  1. New York City
  2. Miami
  3. Philadelphia
  4. Washington D.C.
  5. Boston

While New Jersey might have its particular favorites, the top 5 list of most popular cities to visit in America overall looks a little different. Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world takes the top spot followed by New York City, Miami, San Diego, and Chicago.

The online advice platform provides expert knowledge and advice on travel destinations worldwide. A spokesperson for Family Destinations Guide commented on the study:

“With summer just around the corner, it is the perfect time for Americans to start planning their summer vacations and this research provides a valuable guide into where each state wants to vacation to the most this summer. "

When looking at the movies that turn 40 in 2023, one thing is very clear: 1983 kind of ruled!

In 1983, a holiday classic was born with A Christmas Story. Meanwhile, a star was born in Tom Cruise thanks to Risky Business. Women started cutting up their sweatshirts thanks to Flashdance, and a new sex symbol was born thanks to that gold bikini in Return of the Jedi. We also said hello to a little friend (Scarface), gave our daughter the shot (Terms of Endearment) and were gagged with a spoon (Valley Girl.)

Here are 29 movies that turn 40 in 2023. Even the biggest cynic would agree that 1983 at the movies was totally tubular.
