According to Variety, by the end of the year, it’s expected that there could be close to one hundred games on Netflix. Almost a year and a half ago Netflix released fifty-five games on their platform. Netflix subscribers can play several games including: “Stranger Things: 1984” (BonusXP), “Stranger Things 3: The Game” (BonusXP), “Shooting Hoops” (Frosty Pop), “Card Blast” (Amuzo & Rogue Games), and “Teeter Up” (Frosty Pop).”
Yes, I realize that you probably had no clue that Netflix had games, now you know, and the plan is to release forty more before 2024. That means by year’s end there will most likely be close to a hundred games available on Netflix.
So, for those who didn’t know, the next question is “how much more is this going to cost me?” The short answer, “Nuthin.” The longer answer is that the games are free to subscribers with the idea that it will help the company keep subscribers.
Mike Verdu, Netflix’s VP of game development joined the company to lead their gaming initiative. He says, “Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone.”
Netflix games can only be played on mobile devices, but the plan is to make them accessible on TVs and PCs in the near future.
Scheduled for release next month is “Mighty Quest: Rogue Palace,” a rogue-lite game set based on action RPG “The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot.” In 2024, the “Monument Valley” franchise is coming with “Monument Valley 1” and “Monument Valley 2.”
One of its most-played games is “Too Hot to Handle: Love Is a Game,” and they plan to release a second “Too Hot to Handle” game later this year.

South River Cat Rescue Special Event This Weekend
Loving Hands Cat Rescue in South River, New Jersey is having an open house this Sunday, March 26, from 12-3 pm at their location on Whitehead Avenue in South River, NJ.
Their mission is to place adoptable cats and kittens into loving and nurturing homes. They prioritize the physical and emotional needs of cats awaiting their forever homes.
Loving Hands President, Regina Sweeney joined Joel and Maryann this morning to talk about their fundraising event. Regina shares why it’s so important to spay or neuter, and her thoughts about the term, “crazy cat lady.” Listen here…
All of the cats in their care are vet checked, FIV/FeLV tested, and are provided all appropriate vaccinations. Every cat also gets loving care from their volunteers so they are socialized, and their personality and temperament is evaluated. This allows Loving Hands to place each cat with the right adopter and home situation. Potential adopters are screened to ensure that the match between pet and owner is the very best. Cat rescues throughout the country are organizations that work to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need. They work to rescue cats who are stray, abandoned, abused, or at risk of euthanasia, and provide them with medical care, food, shelter, and socialization until they can be adopted into loving homes.
Some of the common activities that cat rescues do include:
Rescue and Transportation
Cat rescues work to rescue cats in need from various situations, such as hoarding situations, neglect, or abuse. They also provide transportation for veterinary appointments or adoption events.
Foster Care
Cat rescues often rely on foster homes to provide a temporary home for cats until they are ready for adoption. Foster homes provide socialization, care, and love for the cats, which can help them become more adoptable.
Medical Care
Cat rescues provide medical care for cats in their care, which may include spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and treatment for illnesses or injuries.
Adoption
Cat rescues work to find permanent homes for cats in their care through adoption events, online listings, and referrals. They often screen potential adopters to ensure the cat is going to a safe and loving home.
Education and Advocacy
Cat rescues may also provide education and advocacy about the proper care of cats and the importance of spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation.
