New Jersey’s Own Buzz Aldrin Marries on His 93rd Birthday
My dad is 93 and he often jokes about going on a date with a younger woman. We often laugh because he is 93 and me and my siblings just cannot picture a 93-year-old going out on a date!
Well, maybe that is not so far-fetched after all. New Jersey’s own, former astronaut Buzz Aldrin and the love of his life Anca Faur have tied the knot. What makes this story so significant is that he got married on his 93rd birthday to a woman who is 63!
Marrying Anca Faur marks marriage number four for Buzz! He has a net worth of $14 million, but love, not inheritance, is the reason for this marriage, unlike comments I have seen on social media.
Who is this 63-year-old beauty? Anca Faur worked for the famous science and chemical company Johnson Matthey as a Project Manager. She has been employed at Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC as an Executive Vice President since 2019. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Catalysis in 1996, hence the title of “Dr.”

It was also a day Buzz was honored by Living Legends of Aviation. You remember Buzz Aldrin and mission commander Neil Armstrong as the first two people to land on the Moon.
Buzz Aldrin was not only a former astronaut but also an engineer and fighter pilot. Buzz is from Glen Ridge, New Jersey and currently lives in Montclair.
