What Are The Most Popular New Year’s Resolutions?
Each and every year people want to better themselves in either one or a few different ways. We do that by making a new years resolution. A tradition that some say was started 4000 years ago, and still going on today. So what were the most popular resolutions going into 2023? We’ve got you covered to maybe give you an idea if you haven’t chosen one yet.
YouGovAmerica, took an online poll of 1000 U.S adults to see how many were actually making New Year Resolutions compared to not having one. As well as how many of those with resolutions think they can see it through in the upcoming year. Shockingly a majority of the respondents said they either didn’t have one yet (17%) while another large portion said they didn’t plan on making one at all. Among the 36% that does plan on making one 86% of them are confident they’ll be able to see their goals become a reality in 2023. So what were the top resolutions?
Well this doesn’t come as a shocker, but at the top 20% of the results went to both Improving physical health and saving more money. Others at the top were answers of similar nature, like eating healthier or paying debts. Though a good percentage wanted to either; learn something new, spend more tie with family or even pick up a new or spend more time on their hobby. (Roughly 7%-12% of poll answers.” With women being more likely to seek health or travel improvements than men overall.
I do plan on making a similar resolution, though personally, I find it hard to just say something at the start of the new year. Surely some have their ways of keeping themselves motivated, but maybe that will be my New Year’s resolution, to keep my new years resolution. Either way Happy New Year and here’s to 2023.
