From Capped Hero To Space Marine Henry Cavill To Star In Warhammer Production

Henry Cavill, has been in my top ten ever since he wowed fans as the iconic man of steel and won my heart when he portrayed video game character Geralt of Rivea in the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher, but it’s seems Henry has laid down his sword and more recently hung up his cape after a sudden departure from the DC franchise.

However fear not, according to EW it seems Henry is picking up a different set of tools as a possible Blood Angel in an upcoming Amazon production centered around the Warhammer 40000 universe. Warhammer is one of the most popular war bored games and has spawned several video games with the latest coming sometime next year It’s no secret that the British actor considers himself to be a proper nerd, even admitting during interviews that he often spends time painting miniatures figurines from the game.

Now his dream of portraying the universe into a live action piece may come true as Amazon is in talks with the game franchise to bring the series to life. Cavill addressed his fans on Instagram assuring them that if this project were to happen, he would give the IP the respect and honor it deserves, this may be a subtle reference to the assumption that all live action video game movies or television shows don’t hold up to the original and for some cases that’s true, but Henry is putting his trust in this project and wants to lead it in the proper direction.

So, with Amazon confirming the series we’ll just have to wait and see what the future has in store for a retired Superman.
